"When we started planting cherry trees at Bagber Farm in 2007 most of our Dorset neighbours thought we were mad. Ten years on, our cherries, cherry juice and cherry brandy are now beginning to sell all over the UK and we are extremely proud of what we’ve achieved. It hasn’t been an easy experience to grow 5000 cherry trees in the English climate however we think our endeavours have been worth it – we hope you agree! We are now striving to make cherries available to the public at a price comparable with strawberries.
So it’s now time for our first open afternoon. It’s time to have a bbq cooked for you, relax, enjoy the orchard, pick your own fruit and enjoy drinks from our vintage trailer Bar - all using locally sourced ingredients. You’ll be free to eat as many cherries as you like straight from the tree and you can also take some home (boxes will be provided).
Tractor trailer ride to and from the field and a mechanical cherry harvester demonstration will top off the farming experience".
